How To Raise Your First Kitten

Kitten care may be daunting to the cat owner for first time. A lot of things are there one should know about kitten care. You will need to learn many things to raise your kitten properly like bottle feeding to socializing your kitten.

It should be fun to caring kitten. When you are looking at your kitten you see a incapacitated creature for first few days. Care must be taken for your kitten and in effect, they will grow into intelligent, strong and loving cats.

Kittens grow up extremely quickly as in first six weeks there growth rate is at the highest in the entire life period. In this crucial stage there are some things we should not do during this part of a kitten's life.

You should not feed dog food to your kitten at all because this can cause them vomiting or sickness. Either table scraps should not be feed to kitten. Any type of canned fish for human being or canned tuna and liver should be avoided. You need to feed your kitten with specialty food with proper milk. Feeding is important in kitten care.

Socializing your kitty is also a part of kitten care. Play with your kitten talk to it and cuddle with your kitten. You need to care in this matter because handling it properly will add some positive experience with you and so, become properly socialized.

Part of kitten care also needs care of what you should allow and what you should prohibit while playing of you kitten. You strictly do not permit your kitten to lay with your fingers you can associate any play toy with it because it can develop a bad habit of scratching and biting which may harm not only to but others also in the house hold.

What toys to buy can also be confusing when you first bring home a cat. Sometimes, you don't even have to buy them because you can find them lying around the house or you can make them. One toy that can be helpful for your kitten is plastic straw. These work excellently for teething during the early stages of cat's life. Kittens also enjoy playing with old shoulder pads so they can also be used.

It is also important that what your kitten should not play with. By avoiding loose string elastics and curling ribbons or they may get a cat hairball. You do not want your kitty going to the doctor only because of their toys.
